Your Day
My studio is fully equipped, bright and welcoming, set on the edge of an ancient pine forest. There is plentiful tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes throughout the day. You will learn a huge amount in just one day, have tremendous fun and take away with you a special piece to treasure forever!
Summer or Winter
In the Summer, the studio doors are flung open and students enjoy picnics on the meadows. In the Winter, the log fire and the heat from soldering make for a very cozy space, especially with the soft drumming of rain on the roof.
Stay a while!
My jewellery studio is on the edge of a pine forest, surrounded by meadows and a nature reserve. There is a wonderful lake with a bubbling stream a short walk away. It is a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers (including my favourite, kingfishers). For foodies, there is a fantastic 15th century pub, The Red Lion, in nearby village of Boldre, the charismatic Pig in the Forest and even a vineyard with a wonderful farm shop a few minutes away at Setley. For seafarers, the water’s edge is only 3 miles down the river and the Isle of Wight is just a hop away by ferry. I love the surrounding area and would be very happy to recommend accommodation, restaurants and local attractions if you decide to stay a while longer.
