Sizing Guide

Rings

Ring sizes vary between different countries, companies and even official-looking size charts! Ring size also depends on the type of ring, for example, wider bands generally need to be bigger and so do rings with large finger-skimming stones. The best way to ensure your ordered or commissioned ring is the perfect size is to come into my studio for a sizing. I understand that this is not always possible, so here are some other options:

To measure your ring size either:

(i) Measure the internal diameter of a ring that you already have (preferably a similar one to the one that you are ordering) that fits the same finger;

(ii) Wrap a piece of string or strip of paper around the finger (or the finger knuckle if that is bigger) and measure this against a ruler. This will give you the required internal circumference of the ring; or

(iii) Request a measurement at a local jewellery store.

Bracelets and Bangles

Most of the bracelets and bangles that I make are intended to be put on by sliding them over the hand and to fit loosely on the wrist. Please let me know if you prefer a tighter or a looser fit.

To measure your size either:

(i) Measure the internal diameter of a similar bangle or bracelet that fits you; or

(ii) Hold your hand as if you were putting on a bangle and measure around the hand at the widest point with a tape measure or a piece of string. The resulting measurement will give you the required internal circumference of the bangle or bracelet.

Earrings

My earrings come in a number of sizes and clasp/wire variations. Earrings with earring posts and butterfly backs are standard size (0.8mm diameter). I can also make easy to operate closures, for example, for clients with arthritic fingers. If you need a particular size, clasp or wire please let me know - I can accommodate most requests!

Necklaces and Pendants

Please let me know your preferred necklace or pendant chain length - I can accommodate most requests! Generally, necklaces and pendants from my Online Store will have adjustable chain length to give you maximum flexibility to wear your piece with different clothing and in various combinations. Please see chart below for further guidance.
