Tibetan Turquoise Ring
Tibetan Turquoise Ring
Teal green Tibetan Turquoise droplet ring with patinated sterling silver wave band, feather-embossed back and fine silver granules.
Natural blue-green Tibetan Turquoise with a fantastic webbed matrix, emphasised by the dark sheen of patinated silver and the bright fine silver granules. The feather on the reverse mirrors the droplet shape of this stone. Due to patinated finish, appearance of this ring will evolve with wear, creating a very personal piece of jewellery. This is a smaller stone - measuring 17mm long by 11mm wide in its silver setting - which makes it comfortable for daily wear.
SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH 20% of profits from the sale of this piece of jewellery will be donated to mental health charities.
RING SIZE This ring is adjustable to your preferred size by gently expanding or contracting the curves of the wave band. If you would like me to adjust it for you (recommended), please enter your ring size at the checkout. Sterling silver hardens when manipulated, so size adjustment should not be done more than twice. See our Sizing Guide.
TIBETAN TURQUOISE is formed in the Himalayas when groundwater enriched with minerals percolates through rock. Iron gives Tibetan Turquoise its distinctive green pigment, which results in an incredible teal shade when mixed with blue from Copper. The webbed matrix of mother rock is a particularly prized feature. Worn and gifted by the Tibetan and Nepalese people since at least 1,000BC it is believed to have healing and spiritual powers. In the Himalayan villages, Turquoise is gifted to children to help them from falling and is thought to bring happiness and luck both to the wearer and the person giving the stone. Native American lore says that long ago their people rejoiced and danced when the rains they prayed for came - their tears of joy mixed with the raindrops to form Sky Stone Turquoise within Mother Earth. Turquoise is a birthstone for December.
